The Guardian
The Guardian was the first recorded super-powered being. He burst onto the scene in 1939 with the powers of super-strength, flight, invulnerability, and clairvoyance. He founded the legendary Liberty Defenders in 1940 and helped defeat the Axis in World War II. The Guardian disliked the atmosphere of fear and mistrust directed towards the super-powered beings of the fifties, so he left Earth, retiring to his orbiting space station known as the Citadel. The Guardian rarely interferes in terrestrial matters. Instead, he spends most of his time in outer space acting as the ambassador of Earth.

The immortal Man of Iron with super-strength and invulnerability.
Crimson Dragon
As one of the members of the legendary Liberty Defenders, the Crimson Dragon used acrobatics and martial arts to defend San Francisco’s Chinatown from the dreaded Triads.
Rosie the Riveter
Plucky inventor and mechanic of the Liberty Defenders.
Princess Maxima of Lemuria
Maxima was the warrior princess of the lost continent of Lemuria. Trapped in our world by a magic spell, she used her deadly sword and her trusty hawk “Hawk” to fight injustice as a founding member of the Liberty Defenders.

Dashing English pilot of experimental aircraft and member of the Liberty Defenders.

The dark avenger of the night. He knows why you are guilty. BEWARE THE CONSCIENCE!

The English hero known as the Timekeeper used a magic watch to stop and re-start time as a member of the Liberty Defenders.

Beautiful starlet by day and secret super-hero by night, the Whisper used her anti-noise spray and superlative fighting skills to investigate organized crime and Axis spies for the Liberty Defenders.
King Uther Pendragon
Legendary father of King Arthur, the sage and father figure for the Liberty Defenders.
Doctor Damon Myer
Dr. Myer was the foremost expert of occult history, secret archaeology, and lost magic in the thirties and forties and was one of the original members of the Liberty Defenders.
